What a great shooting gun. Not one hiccup using Mini-Mags!

Most here will agree that the 22C is about the most reliable 22 pistol available and, with any ammo you feed it. S&W engineers hit a homer with this one.

Agree! Mine would even fire .22 short but they would not cycle the slide so it became a one shot gun. The only reason I tried is b/c I had some .22 short that needed to be burned up.

After shooting several thousand round through mine I think the on,y wat to get a misfire is to shoot snap caps

Just picked a new one up this week. Can't hardly wait to get out to shoot it tomorrow. Range report to follow.

They are a blast. Its our "go-to" gun after a long day at the range.

Thousands through ours with very few fails. Easily attributable to the ammo. Like the "short" round not cycling, the only round I have found that wont cycle is the CCI "Quiet" which is minimal load low velocity. Trying to get some Aguila low velocity sniper rounds. I have heard they work due to the weight of the bullet but they are hard to find in stock.

The other aspect of this platform is training a newby. Seems to be the perfect (semi-auto) gun to get mamma interested or to break in a youngin.

I have two. One has close to 50,000 rounds through it. It's been back to S & W once for a firing pin. Otherwise it's been a great gun. The picture is from when I first bought it.

I love mine. Only had it a few weeks, but have about 500 rounds through it so far. Not a single issue.

Took it out for a while today, in fact. Wifey wanted to shoot her Model 60. She's never fired a semi auto before, but liked the Compact 22 pretty well. Shot it well too..........:)

The attached pic is ten shots from 15 yards, off a 2x6 barricade.
