M&P 22 for training pistol, how is the trigger?

. . . I would catch myself flinching on the first shot. I smiled and realized my problems with accuracy were purely me. Now I just concentrate on the front sight and the trigger pull and shoot the 9 much better without anticipating recoil. For me the 22 has been a great trainer.

Agreed. Almost every gun made today is much more accurate than the person shooting it.

Even though my M&P22's trigger is different than my other handguns, shooting the M&P does help to learn better technique and habits.

The ammo is cheap and the trigger on my m&p 22 is awesome. I have it in 40 full size, 40c and 40L pro and the 22 has the best trigger hands down. You can't go wrong. Unless you reload, 22 is the best training but it's not the same as shooting the other m&ps. But it's more about you and what you enjoy. 22s are my favorite so I'm biased :p the m&p 22 is a fun gun whether you train with or not. Hope that helps!

I went to my LGS and told them I needed a pistol to introduce my family to shooting. I also wanted something for self-defense. Although a Glock person, the sales rep recommended the M&P line.

The 22 was great to get everyone trained on loading, shooting, and general safety. Then I bought a FS 40. My LGS was right. Everyone was already familiar with the M&P line and pretty much knew how to operate it.

It is NOT the same as shooting the .40. But it is close enough for me. CHEAP and TONS OF FUN!

500 rounds through my .22 - $22-$40
100 rounds of range ammo through my .40 - $40

I say BUY IT if you've got the money!
