Haven't fired my 22 in about 3 weeks. Son came over today and we put 300 or so thru it. I had a 525 box of Rem Golden so despite the mess we shot em. Gold flecks coat the innards but I enjoyed. Got to clean it anyway. No malfunctions and here's my last 36 rounds as fast as I could press the trigger and replace the empty mag. From 7 yards. I'm getting there Agsimon.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1375062646.240046.jpg

If you can afford (and can find) any CCI Mini-Mags, you'll find your groups will tighten up even more, especially noticeable at the longer distances. Just keep practicing good shooting techniques, including proper grip and trigger control and you'll eventually be able to rapid fire tight groups consistently. Wrap around the grip, thumbs forward, with support hand thumb way out there, on the frame. This helps control side movement, if you do slap the trigger when shooting fast. Dry fire, without even racking the slide; just keep saying squeeze, squeeze, squeeze, while you pull the trigger, with the front pad of your index finger. Eventually, all of these things will be muscle memory and you'll do them automatically. You'll wonder how you ever shot a gun the old way. I train all my "students" with this method and it's worked every time.

The manual for the M&P 22 specifically warns against dry-firing this pistol and says "damage will result" if this is done.

Perhaps these guys are saying to practice your trigger technique without the hammer being cocked. No "click" as would normally occur in dry fire. Dropping the hammer on an empty chamber can be very bad for rimfire pistols.

If u want to dry fire use a #4-6 x 7/8 plastic drywall screw anchor as an alternative to snap caps. You can buy a bulk pack at Lowes / Home Depot for way less than snap caps.....
