I just got 2 M&P 22's, one for my daughter and one for myself and was looking for extra mags. Besides capacity what is the difference between the 10 and 12 shot mags? Are they really different guns to use a higher capacity mag?

The only difference is capacity. 10-rounders are for those states that limit magazine capacity.

I couldn't find 12-round mags locally. Even online, the cost + shipping is comparable among different vendors. I ended up just purchasing an extra from the S&W online store.

Thanks, that is what I was hoping. I couldn't find any locally either so ordered direct from S&W.
