Hey all

Any chance Smith & Wesson gonna expend their arsenal with a proper .22lr caliber M&P pistol not the shortend M&P 15-22.

I have now M&P 9 mm but like to have a .22lr as well

So anyone knows that Smith & Wesson has any plans in that direction

I asked one of the guys at the S&W booth at the NRA show about this very thing. The rep agreed that it would be a neat idea, but he didn't see it happening any time soon. That's too bad. I think the 15-22 is such a good concept, it's just beggin to be carried over to the line of M&P pistols.

I think S&W is missing the boat if they don't do this. SIG's conversions work great. Probably because they build them in house instead of outsourcing the job. I would rather have the conversion than a dedicated pistol myself.

We have been discussing this at MP_Pistol.com for years now. You would think the 22lr conversion would be very popular, or even a dedicated 22lr platform. Even Tactical Solutions (Tacsol) produced in Boise, actually Meridian Idaho wont have anything to do with it. They are so concentrated on the 22lr Glock upper, they declined when asked about an upper for our M&P's.

So, all we can be is patient...

Finally? Please..Please...Pretty Please!

Seems they are waking up!

MP 22

I love all my MP Pistols, but after all this time and nothing from SW
I went with a 22 conv for my Sig 220. Works great and had it threaded
for my YHM Mite that is on the way. I might still get one if they are
ever made and theaded.

There is a real need for .22 conversion kits for all the popular
pistols.

Some of the popular .22 conversion kit makers are back logged
weeks on orders. There is less a supply and more of a demand.

Smith and Wesson has the technology, money, skills, and name
recognition to make the M&P in .22 lr and/or make a .22
conversion kit for it.
