I just called S&W C/S to see if a new M&P 2.0, 40 or 9mm frame
and slide would accept a 357sig barrel they told me that they would not that they were both different then the 357 sig (ok)
So I ask if they still made any of the M&P pistols in 357sig and
they told me they never made a M&P 357sig I would have swore
I saw them both in person and on their website I'am soon to be 68 am I losing my mine?

Your are still sane. Up until a few years ago they made an M&P in 357Sig. They have since discontinued them. As for the 2.0 being offered in 357Sig I haven't seen or heard anything as of yet. You can still get conversion bbls for the older M&P though through KKM or Storm Lake.

They made them and eventually discontinued them. I recently bought a M&P40 and found a 357 Sig barrel on Midway, so that is how I got what I wanted. You will probably have to wait for an aftermarket 357 Sig barrel for the 2.0 and run it on a 2.0 .40

I have an M&P in .357 SIG. Just a week ago I bought a 9mm barrel from Midway for $73. Works great. Point of impact didn't change, accuracy as good as the original barrel. I also bought a 9mm magazine, even if the .357 might have worked. I am very happy. Now I can shoot 9mm at the range for much less cost.

I'm not a gun historian. I bought my .357 SIG from CDDN a few years ago for $399. If I remember correctly, S&W decided to quit making them in .357 SIG so CDDN bought their entire stock, then sold them for $399. I would have liked one with the manual safety, but by the time I found out about the deal those were all gone. It's not a carry gun for me, so no big deal.

Phone S&W CS 3 times and get 3 different answers.
As stated there certainly were 357 Sig M&Ps
Compacts, too.
Mine came NIB from Summit Gunbroker for $339.
LEO turn-ins and this one had never been unboxed.
And it's my favorite M&P and 357 Sig:

Were the 9mm and 40S&W frames different because I though that they were the same and you could just put a 357sig barrel in them I was hoping
to just put a 357sig barrel in my M&P 2.0, 5"FDE 9mm, I was pretty sure you could just drop the 357 sig in the 40S&W or vise verse.

I own 2. The Full size M&P357and a M&P357C compact. They must have been a new hire. :) ...or I'm losing my mind!

I got a conversion barrel for my 40 and it eats up 357 sig. You may wanna get a 20-22 lb recoil spring though so its a little bit easier on the frame since 357 is so hot.

I doubt a 357 SIG barrel will fit in a 9mm slide physically but you should be able to in the .40 S&W version...I think the 357 SIG M&Ps are pretty nice but I'm a little biased...:D

Like an earlier poster I have an M&P 40 that I have converted to 357 Sig with a barrel I bought from Midway a few months ago on sale for $88. The mags were marked for 40/357 so the change over was simple. I have been well satisfied.

I have a s&w 357 SIG barrel for my stock 40 full size m&p. Do I need a heavier recoil spring?

Not at all the .40 will be just fine almost the same cartridge with a little smaller and lighter projectile.

My dad has the .357 SIG M&P full size. He loves it. I have a .357 SIG P250c love it to. It is a Hot Rod round that is for sure.

Do you use the same slide for all three 40/9/357 if so what did you start with a 9 or 40

I have an M&P 357 full sized and it is one of my favorites, I really like the 357 stamped on the slide as most people don't have clue that S&W made one. It is in my winter carry rotation and carries well when I have a coat on. It is a bit expensive to shoot but I love it. I thought about getting a 40 S&W barrel for it, but I have a 10mm G20C so I said nah.

If you change your mind, Midway has that 40 barrel for $59.45 right now. 5 left.

You can go 40/357 slide for a 9mm, but hood will be slightly undersize on the 9mm barrel, but not the other way around. 357sig and 40S&W use the same spring. I used the 357/40 spring when I ran a 9mm barrel.

I have one of the 357 Sig guns and it is an extremely accurate piece. The trigger in this one is good to go from the start. I've had to APEX all of my other M & P semi autos.

I apologize for the delay...
My original M&P is a .40 which i purchased a .357sig barrel for then purchased a 9mm conv. Barrel later on.
From what i had been told about conversion you can swap down but not up. So, 40 to 357 to 9 is cool but a 9 to a 40 to a 357 is a huge no no...
Now, for comparison sake i did take my .40 slide and put it on my 9mm frame but i was too chicken to attempt to fire it:( M&P says it is the same receiver/frame from 9 to 40 but also advised about NOT converting UP calibers.
