I have had a 1.0 non-thumb safety M&P 40 for the last 5 years and it's an early one. Great gun. The 2.0 does kick its butt, but it's still a great gun and the caliber is great too.

Any other 1.0 M&P 40 fans here?

I bought a used trade in M&P40 for $259 but have yet to shoot it. I have a number of M&P's in varying calibers and I like them all, so there is no doubt I will like the M&P40 too.

I bought a used one that looked new and fired very little. I am amazed how accurate it is and I have never had a problem with it. I really haven't thought about the 2.0 at all.

I have both a 40c & full size. I've turned the 40c into a Hybrid using the ATEI Hybrid Kit (full size slide on compact frame). I carry with the 10 round mag in the pistol for ease of conceal-ability and a full size mag for a spare. I bought the compact 2/2010 and it has a real nice trigger. It's a really nice combination.

I have one that's about 5 years old that I also love. Shoots like a champ! I also have a drop in 9mm factory barrel and it shoots just as well as the 40. Over time, the stock trigger has smoothed out like butter. I'm happy with my "old girl" and have no intention to trade up.
