I bought 2 m&p 15 rd mags a while ago and finally got around to using th em today and when loading around the 11-12th and up round i noticed on both mags that one round inside is loose and freely slides back and forth. Anyone have any issues like this?

Yes, I have 1 that I use in my 40c. I asked around and apparently, most if not all do this.

Mine do that as well. Seems odd, but doesn't seem to have any effect on the mags function or reliability.

Two of my 3 mags rattle when fully loaded. Doesn't make sense to me and I don't know the source of the rattle. Both mags function just fine however.

I found on one of the mags its round # 6 that i can see sliding back and forth

I have 6 15 round mags 2 of which are dedicated for use in my 40C. They all rattle, some more than others. Sometimes a quick rap on the back of the mag & a rap on the bottom will quiet them down. I don't think it's a loose round that's causing it but the spring but whatever it is it doesn't affect the performance as they all work in both the M&P40 & 40C without a problem.

One time I was almost finished at the range & had a few rounds left over (other than SD) & I loaded the first mag that came to hand, a 15 rounder. I loaded the last 11 rounds & noticed the mag didn't rattle. Hmmm.

Many times I load the mag to capacity & take 3 or 4 rounds out & reload them. No rattle. I use an UpLula loader so it only takes seconds to do.

Hmmm. Weird, i tried reliading them several times each but they still rattled, idk guess its normal operation

All of my magazines have a rattling noise like this when I fill them. I've never had an issue with feeding though.

I've never had any rattle but they all make this loud boom noise after I load the magazines and pull that trigger thing. Is that normal?

Matt
