M&P .40 - New models coming?

I recently went to my favorite gun dealer and he tells me to wait to purchase a new M&P .40c as they are coming out with all new models very soon. Anyone here about this and how different, and how much more?

Sounds like gun dealer gossip run wild to me. If S&W was going to bring a substantially altered new model M&P to the market. The Soonest you'd hear about it would be the SHOT show next year and then it would be another 4 to 5 months before they became available.

S&W would have to be out of their minds to risk a redesign of the M&P series right now. The current M&P's are going like hotcakes, have extremely good press and word of mouth reviews and are poised to finally return S&W to the top of the American Firearms market heap...Why in gods name would S&W risk destroying all of that with a new design that could have hidden flaws?

I myself have been waiting for the 5 inch pro 40. i havent found anyone thats seen/sold one yet

My last call to S&W on the 5" M&P40 Pro said none till Oct. now.
