Hello,
I purchased a M&P 45 and an M&P 40 VTAC the past two months. Neither weapon has been fired, and is brand new in box.
I believe the 45 was built in November of 2013 and the 40 VTAC was built in May 2014. Im basing these dates off the inspection dates on the envelope which containes the spent casing. The trigger on the 45 has a super gritty take up to the point where it sort feels like a three stage trigger and the trigger pull feels much stiffer than 6.5lbs with no noticable reset. The 40 VTAC on the other hand has a silky smooth take up, a much lighter trigger pull and a more audible and tactile reset. Now my question is should I contact Smith & Wesson customer service about sending my pistol in or is my only option to get the Apex kit for the 45?
