Anyone here know how to remove the firing pin from the slide on an M&P5.7?
It is not the same as removing the striker from an M&P 2.0 and getting the firing pin safety plunger out of the way is definitely not enough like it would be on a 3rd gen.

Thanks! My you tube search skills are lacking.

Got it out. Cleaned pin, spring and channel.
Still dragging. Does not return. Push in, stays in.

Will advise, when I am near an empty casing.

However, the firing pin does appear to return to correct position when the slide is cycled. Only sticks when firing pin safety is depressed and firing pin pushed forward?

Does it stick when the gun is dry fired with an empty casing in the chamber?
No, and a nice positive strike on the already struck primer.

If the pin sticks during firing then that's a major problem.
I can see it would be, especially with the fully supported bolt face.

Question/Problem arose when I had my first FTFire. Still no FTFeed, FTExtract or FTCycle and I have been reloading the same batch of brass to see how many (more) times it can be reloaded before it causes a failure. No cracked necks or shoulders anymore but those tiny little heads and rims... Although they fed, fired and cycled just fine, when picking up the brass I am beginning to see missing primers.

At first I thought I broke the firing pin but then thought some debris got into the channel and was jamming the firing pin.
It may have been debris and removing the firing pin got it out.

Live fire test is next, one round at a time at first, before I fill 'er up and rely on 'er. (and I won't use the ten times+ reloaded range brass)
