Looking at the 5 inch 9s. What is the difference in the Pro Series and Performance Center models? Are they worth the extra coin? Would they still need an Apex trigger? Thanks in advance

IMO just get the apex kit. Its a better trigger and you get all the comparable performance center parts as far as the sear and striker block. Upgraded sights would be the only other thing you would get with the PC option and slide serrations. You can read on the SW website all the upgrades you get with the PC option.

Not going to get into the PC or not a PC as to me the PC is more about exterior upgrades not trigger pull or accuracy . But with ether one you will more than likely want a Apex FSS trigger kit . YOU failed to mention the sku number or even if its a 2.0 or older model . Buy the 2.0 and then decide in the trigger type - straight or curved is a choice . I like the curved trigger others like the straight ?? Just shoot a 100 or 200 rounds before upgrading to know it runs well .

Off the top of my head, PC has the silver ported barrel and slide with adjustable trigger stop. Pro has non-ported black barrel. Both are available in CORE and iron sight versions. Trigger action, safety plunger, on both are polished from the factory.

The 5" Pro is set up for IDPA competition with low iron FO sights. Perfect for iron sight use. I use it for IDPA/SSP.
If you want optics and/or a ported barrel shop the PCs

Pulled the trigger

Pun intended. Bought one, love it, especially for the price I got it, under 5 bills. Brand spanking new.
