I did a search, but found nothing. Has anyone heard of a recall for the 2.0 compact pistols without the thumb safeties? Clerk said they had plenty of the thumb safety models, but they had to send all the nts models back to the factory.

Found nothing on the 2.0. Might have been an excuse, since they did not have what you asked for.

FYI S&W was sending out Free plugs for customers that could not find one without.

All I can think of is the recoil spring problem folks are having.

I have 100rds through my 3.6" thumb safety model, the end of the spring looks like it MIGHT be trying to come off of the rod. The coils aren't very uniform looking at the moment.

Heading to the range now to put another box down range, will take a look again afterwards during cleaning and report in about whether the spring failed/looks worse in terms of seating.

The barrel end of my recoil spring on my 3.6 just doesn't look secure - looks like it could be a problem at a future date. Looks like it would like to come off the end.

I only have a couple boxes thru it, right now, and it has performed without any hitch!

The nut at the forward end of the rod doesn't look quite big enough for the spring, I agree. At 100 rds, I disassembled and it looked like the tippy of the yellow painted end of the spring was starting to work its way over. I finger-snugged it back down, then fired another 150 rds through today.

Just finished cleaning, the spring stayed put after this most recent range trip...

My NTS 3.6" has 6-700 rounds through it and the guide rod/spring appears fine.

If they do a "recall" they should just send a new & improved assembly upon request.
