I have a chance to purchase one or the other. Both are in decent shape about $400 each. Have owned a full size and really liked it. sold it and regretted it since. Now am torn between the C or a full size, Any suggestions? I don't CCW just take them to the range and shoot paper, have A G19 glock and don't care for it, and a few others (allegedly) that I like. HELP

Full Size

I own both and carry the 9c but if I weren't carrying and only going to fire it at a range, I would buy the FS...although I don't see much difference in accuracy between the two.

For a range or competition gun, the full size or 5" are easier and faster to shoot. Certainly more suitable for USPSA Production.

Some who carry the compact shoot it at IDPA, which is fine, too.

buy them both!! if you dont carry, get the full size. although the C is an excellent shooter for what it is

I have both. If just one for the range I'd go full size. For carrying the compact.

I use my carry 9c for IDPA and it works very well for me. The only thing I did was to install fiber optic sights and do a trigger job.

Since you say you aren't currently interested in CC then I'd go with the long slide. I have the 40s&w version and love it at the range. I still shoot 9mm through it utilizing a 9mm conversion barrel from Storm Lake. It is as accurate & reliable as my buddy's M&P 9L that he bought several month's ago.

I agree with M16. I have a 9Pro FS & 45c and for recration I like the way the full size handles BUT if we ever get the CC law passed in Illinois I will carry the c. Good luck in your decision.

I have both and carry the 9c. I have found the compact to be as accurate as the full size. If you want it just for the range I would go with the full size. You will get more in the magazine. Less time stuffing magazines = more time shooting:)
You can't go wrong with either one.
