I just purchased a new M&P 9c a few days ago. Great gun, shoots great, I really like it. But I got a problem. I flied strip it, cleaned it and am having trouble with re assembly. When I move the slideonto the frame I can't get the take down lever to go up into place.??? What am I doing wrong. I did this the other day and all went fine.

Your not trying hard enough. Keep trying you'll get it.
It's kind of hard to answer unless you describe in more detail what you are doing. When you say you can't get the take down lever to go up, is the slide all the way back on the frame (that is, where it can be locked open with the slide lock)? Do you have a magazine in the gun?

On my FS I have to keep a finger on the take down lever while pulling the slide back on. It tends to want to turn slightly and won't allow it to reassemble properly.

If you can get the slide to lock on the slide lock, the takedown lever should rotate. Make sure you have the recoil springs aligned properly, if they are slightly out of alignment, the slide will not go fully back, and the lever will not rotate. Keep trying, you will get it. You bought a great gun.

Well I figured it out . Ledfowl you had the picture. I just wasn't moving the slide back far eanough in one motion. Practice,practice,practice.......
