M&P 9pro or .45

I just want to try an m&p. I have been shooting Glocks for a while and have been wanting another striker fired pistol and have heard nothing but great things about the M&P

OK, I get that, but are you just going to shoot it at the range or do you have more serious uses for it? Competition? Self-Defense? Or just for fun?

I have the M&P .45 Great gun but my only complaint is that common gritty trigger...I'm hoping the Apex kit cleans up that trigger pull...Ordered that kit last night so...

Pretty much just for fun. I would like to do some competition shooting as time permits.
In this case I'd recommend the 9mm. It's easier to control and the ammo costs 1/3 to 1/2 less. Plus, it can be used for competition later if you so choose. Well, any of them can, but I believe the 9mm fits your overall usage better.

I have an M&P 45 and like it a lot, but it is a lot less expensive to shoot the 9mm.

My first pistol was the M&P45. I chose it because at the time I thought it would be my only pistol, and I live in a state that limits me to 10 round mags. I didn't think I would really get into pistols, and I wanted one that would put a big hole in things for hd purposes. As time went on I found myself getting more into pistols, and I really liked the M&P45-it is my favorite pistol. I wanted to cut down on ammo cost, so I then saved up for a 9mm that I decided I would use to be able to afford more practice.

I would get both, and I'm glad I started with the 45. The M&P 45 is awesome.

I have a 9mm pro and a 9mm Glock,if you reload cases fired in the Glock don't always chamber in the S&W pro. The unsupported Glock barrel causes the case to bulge. I just seperate my fired brass. So far I like the S&W pro, about 750 rds fired.
