I recently bought an M&P BG 380 and was having a hard time aligning sights when at he range. At the suggestion of someone I added a little white paint to the front sight using a tooth pick. This helped tremendously so I thought I would share it for any other beginners out there with a similar challenge.

Good tip--there's nothing wrong with adding some paint to increase the contrast on the stock sights, especially for those of us whose eyes aren't what they used to be. The BG380 is a close-quarters SD pistol so you just need to get close to center of mass. I changed my BG380 to XS Big Dot night sights years ago and it was an improvement for me, but do what works for you.

Painted my M&P 380 front sight with Testor’s bright yellow model paint.
Second photo is my M&P 9mm EZ front sight.
Thanks for your thread jmc0319!

Painting sights is a viable option to make them more visible. I've painted the front sights on my 642 and Beretta 92FS fluorescent orange (using white paint as a base coat) and the rear sights black to make them consistent with my PX4 Compact, which has an orange/tritium front sight and a plain black rear sight.

Painted my M&P 380 front sight with Testor’s bright yellow model paint.

Well, that looks a lot better than my attempts at painting sights! ;)
