Just me talking.

I love my M&P Compact 22. And it goes bang every time. Most rimfire 22s are very finicky about that.

A 3 lb trigger sounds like a nice goal, but I'm not sure it's a good idea on a rimfire 22.

Well it is a personal defense type of firearm. If your trying to make a target gun from it you bought the wrong gun. First thing you might try if you are using the pad of the first finger section change to placing the finger with the first joint in father just even with the off side of the trigger. Worked wonders for me. I learned this once I started shooting S&W Air Lite 22 mag pistols with their 12 to 14 pound trigger pulls on 11 ounce guns. Also these lite type of gun usually require a firmer hand hold.

If it's personal defense you're looking for, don't look at a .22
I don't think that's it's selling point.

dumbear didn't say anything about the 22 compact being a defense gun or a target gun.
Simply asked who to send it to for trigger work.
Sorry I don't know who to send it to.

JMHO leave it alone. You'll chase your tail with options
(often expensive) to try and improve it. The stock trigger
will improve with use. Save your money and get used to it.
