Anyone ever see one stock? I was looking for a CORE and a guy sent me a pic of a CORE with a safety. It doesn't have the newer back strap it looks like a regular frame. Thoughts?

Not a Core, S&W doesn't offer it with a safety. Maybe someone put a Core slide on a regular frame? (I'm not sure where the safety is, none of mine have one). Or maybe it was Photoshopped?

You say safety. I assume you mean thumb safety? Some of the 4.25" Pro's had thumb safeties. I do not believe a 5" ever came with a thumb safety.

This one was a 4 inch with a thumb safety but CORE slide he said that's how he got it. I had never seen one thought id ask the community. I thought maybe a first generation maybe?

Core's never had a safety, not a desirable feature for a striker fired competition gun and that's what the Core has always been designed for. It would be easy enough to put a Core slide on a thumb safety frame, why? I have no idea.

Just checked with the guy to look at his box and match the serial number to the weapon. It didn't have a sticker he called his friend who sold it to him and found out that the guy sold him the pistol swapped out the slide and sold it to him as a CORE. So mystery solved, I never saw one and he was trying to sell it but when I saw the safety on a CORE a flag went up.
