After much thought I picked up an EoTech MRDS with a 7 MOA dot to put on top of my CORE 5" 9mm. The biggest downfall of the MRDS is that you can't even see the top of the iron sights because of the optic (I double checked to make sure I was using the correct mounting plates). It is very close to the point where I feel that as soon as the front sight post goes out of vision, it would (probably) be lined up. I haven't shot it yet and hope to within the next few days. If anyone is in the market for an MRDS, I picked mine up from Botach Tactical for $299 with free shipping. I thought it was a heck of a price after seeing the same optic run for $415-$480 other places which was a strong reason that I picked the MRDS up. I'll try to post my thoughts after shooting with it.
