Hi everyone, Im a new member from Pittsburgh, I went to the range today and took my M&P9 compact. After about 150 rounds i noticed that the white dot on my front sight had come off. Has anyone else ever had that problem and if so, would i be able to get a new one from Smith.

Thanks

New 40c owner here. Mine only lasted until halfway through the 3rd mag. It seems to be a very common problem. Strapping some tritium on it soon, so no biggie for me.

This really needs a sticky. Buy some quality enamel paint, possibly Testors model paint and get some toothpicks. Degrease the hole where the paint goes with nail polish remover or gum cutter and let dry. Put a drop of paint on the toothpick and touch the inside of the hole in the sight (slide should be tilted so the surface is horizontal). Let dry.

Use a dab of orange or green fishing jig paint and clear coat over it. You'll swear you have a fiber optic sight.
