M&P Full Size Conceal Carry?

I carry a full size 9 in a kydex IWB and a pancake made by a one man shop outside of Tallahassee. Both conceal well at a very reasonable price. The Comp-Tac Spartan worked well for me for a similar sized handgun.

I have three Crossbreed SuperTuck holsters, CZ85, 1911, and G19 and love them. 10% discount for military, NRA, police.
Extremely comfortable. The optional Crossbreed velco clips sticking to a velco backed belt make clips invisable.

I have been in a room with 4500 people with the CZ85 (~5" bbl, 17 rounds, and 35oz) covered by a dark, patterned dress shirt tucked in to dress pants and no "looks". Cant it forward from the 4 o'clock position. I can sit, stand, walk, but no bending forward more than 30 degrees; back up to a wall if you need to bend forward. I'm 5' 10", 155 pounds.

Full size 9 in a Raven Concealment knock off made by a local guy that is no longer making holsters. Even in tshirts in the hot dog days of summer, it conceals very well with a good gun belt.

M&P .40FS in a Crossbreed Supertuck in horsehide with DIY combat cut since Aug2010. 5'10, 180lbs, 32" waist, usually buy 33" waist to accommodate the IWB.

Similar build but I'm 5'8. I use the Comp Tac MTAC most of the time but since it's winter I've switched to the CTAC I originally purchased. Works great under a pull over vest I have. Same draw as with the MTAC in the summer and holds the gun good.

I have the older clips on my CTAC and it doesn't cant anywhere near as far as the MTAC however it's great with a jacket. The MTAC hides the whole gun when I cant it as far forward as possible. doesn't even go past my back and I can wear it with most of my shirts.

no special belt though. Cabelas brand. The one that holds money. No different sized jeans either.

if you sign up for the Comptac mail you'll get weekly emails and notification of their 10-20% off sales.

I use the below with zero problems. I have two drawers to prove I have tired a ton of holsters.

I am looking at the MTAC & CTAC holsters the feature I like most is that you can change out the holster only so if you decide to carry a different firearm just swap out the holster. The holsters are sold by comp-tac and they offer a military and LEO discount of 10%. Extra Holster are $38.00. I currently use Blackhawk and like it but I would like to try an IWB style holster.

MTAC is fully leather backed. Belt clips are narrow and look like belt loops to all but the most observant.

I carry my Full-Size M&P40 in the fall/winter in a Galco Yaqui Paddle holster under a medium-weight shirt or a jacket with no problems.I like the Yaqui because I can use it for multiple large frame pistols with the same holster.

I've been carrying my FS .40 in my copy of the Sparks Axiom OWB with a light cover garment. I've also made an IWB for it that I haven't carried outside the house with yet. The OWB is so comfortable and concealable I don't think I'll need the IWB till the weather warms.

I carry my FS 9 in a cheap nylon IWB that I've had for years. I appendix carry when concealing and I'm 5'11" 331. Yes I'm a big boy but you'd never guess I weighed that much. No printing even with a thin tshirt and I wear my pants where they're supposed to be. The grip sits just above the pant line.

I have carried a M&P full size for CCW for some time. I generally prefer OWB holsters with retention and have tried every holster available I think.

Finally, I have found one I believe I will stick with. It's the DeSantis Facilitator. It hugs tight to the body and has a very sturdy thumb latch system. It's a combination of Kydex and leather.

For me, it is a better alternative than the Blackhawk SERPA which I was using previously..

thanks for this thread. i carry both my g19 and cm9 in either a reinforced IWB or snap removable pancake OWB holster from TT Gunleather. the holsters are extremely nice and comfortable to wear, unfortunately they are a little pricey and have a long wait time. i recently purchased a 9FS and have been tossed up between ordering the same holsters for my m&p but would hate to spend that money on a holster i will never use. i think now that i see so many people carrying without a problem i will "pull the trigger" and place an order.

M&P full size carry

I carry anything I want with the Barsony belt loop leather holster. It keeps everything close to the side with FBI cant. The combo of a very good gun belt with the Barsony makes just about anything I carry comfortable from a compact to the full M&P. The M&P full is a bit heavy and works better for cold months carry when you're going to have on a jacket anyway.

Do all of you buy a larger size in jeans/trousers to accommodate the IWB holster? I have never found a comfortable setup that works for me using IWB.

I wear the same size jeans regardless of whether I'm carrying or not. It's comfortable. I carry in the 4 o'clock position with either a Raven Concealment Phantom or Comp-Tac C-Tac. I would say that the belt sizing and design is critical for a good fit. I use Milt Sparks belts.

I carry my 45 in the small of my back without a holster. I'm 5'4" and 170 lbs. Sometimes I will put it in my front pocket or my coat pocket. I really could care less if someone sees it. I have a permit to carry concealed. I'm not in the business of making people feel all warm and fuzzy. I wish everyone just carried out in the open so the criminals would get the hint that they can't just go around shooting people without consequence. I have an under the arm holster that I use sometimes if I plan on doing jumping jacks or what not.

I carry a M&P 9mm Pro Series (4.25" not the 5" model) and it can be a bit cumbersome at times but is completely managable. I live in FL so there isn't a whole lot of time in the year to wear jackets so normally I just wear clothes that will conceal better if I'm planning to carry it. The only time I really worry about it is when I'm getting stuff from the bottom shelf at the store or playing pool etc. You just have to know what you're going to do to know if you will be able to easily conceal it.

Again though, that is just because it is too hot to wear a jacket. When I'm wearing a jacket all is completely hidden.

Also, I have the Crossbreed Supertuck and I highly recommend their products. I was wrestling with a friend and I took my gun but left my holster on and it got bent just enough to where it wasn't the perfect fit. Shipped it off to them and I got it back a few days later with a perfect fit again. Also, they offer different clips to help with concealment...

With all that being said when I get my tax return I will be buying a different gun for concealment. As much as I love my M&P I just want one that can fit in my pocket or not be as big...

I envy all of you that can comfortably carry a FS M&P. It just seems to me it was made to be a duty gun and carried on a utility belt. I find my FS45 is just too cumbersome for me to carry. I keep it on my night stand and carry my PM9 just about all the time.

I carry my FS M&P 9 year around IWB using a Shielded Holster. I keep it typically at 3 oclock.
