If the slide is aluminum, I hope it holds up better than the zinc slide on the Walther P-22. that I had. Even though I cleaned and lubed it after every trip to the range, it was starting to prematurely wear out in the grooves pretty bad and there were also uneven wear spots on the underside. I could see in time, I'd have to replace the slide, so I sold it.

Is it available yet? I too with 3 m&p's would like to practice and train others using 22lr.
