M&P not feeding last round

This is my timeline, what would you do?

1 July; Bought new full sized M&P .45. Took it home, stripped and cleaned it. Went to the range, neither mag would feed the last round.

5 July; Back to the range, same problem.

15 July; Bought some used mags, they work fine. Same problem with the mags that came with the gun. Contacted S&W.

1 Aug: S&W finally replied. They will send new mag springs.

29 Aug: Contacted S&W. They have my order and have my springs in stock but have no idea when they will ship.

Most companies don't take a month to resolve a warranty item.

What would you do?

keep calling? You could try polishing the feed ramp too.

In this case all you can do is wait. With the summer break S&W had I'm sure they're more backlogged than usual. I heard somewhere that Smith was planning on manufacturing their mags at their own plant but that will take some time.

But you're right - defective products should be handled immediately.

Buy aftermarket who knows when smith will send you the springs.

Around 5 or so buks shipped I believe at speed shooter's specialties.

I am also waiting on a few items that were ordered about 12 days ago, I called yesterday and asked about them, it appears that they have a system issue that has not allowed parts to ship for the past 2 weeks, maybe more.

The CS rep I spoke to yesterday didn't have any idea when this would be resolved or when they would ship, he stated hopefully next week.

I agree just get one and you will see if that is the issue or not.. What color paint is on the .45 cal. springs you have? are they all the same color.. I think the org. .45 mags had black paint on them and some had issues. S&W has changed out the springs with another color paint on there upgraded spring best as I can remember.. Not sure if it was red or orange.. This was going on with the FS M&P .45.. I have one that's a safe queen and it does have two mags with black paint on the springs.. Just some info I thought may be useful to you.. George
