As an Aircrewman during Viet Nam, I was issued a M&P .38 4" brl. (1964) later was traded for 1911a1 .45 .. When I started Armored Transport I purchased a used M&P 5" brl. Which I carried for 2yrs.. Ser.# C 100601 5screw , no model # anywhere. What is It?

cdant,

Your revolver is a Military & Police (M&P). Strictly it is what it is, no "pre" anything.

All Model 10s are M&Ps, while niot necessarily the other way around!

Sort of like "All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares." Remember that from High School Geometry?
