Here's my new M&P45. Just got it yesterday so I've only bee shooting with it once, but I like it and can't wait to get back out with. Thanks for all the photos in this thread. I've gotten some good ideas for the rig I want to put together for it.

I picked up my M&P 9c yesterday. I filled in the engraving with silver crayon. The gun fits my hand much better with the small blackstrap. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get out and shoot it for a few weeks.

I'm also having a heck of a time getting the last round into the magazines. I have them both at 9 right now. Maybe depressing the spring for a while will make it easier to fill it up.

Also, can someone explain to me why the trigger is hinged in the middle? I'll withholding judgement until I shoot it, but it does seem a little odd to me.

That's a safety. Pull on the top part. It won't fire.

Isn't this one of the biggest things to NOT do?

Reference post #643 for a picture of the Apex trigger. It has the trigger safety, but its built entirely different and I love the feel. I do not know of any direct replacement triggers for the M&P that do not have the safety lever.

It's completely safe and fine provided you do not have a round chambered.

Persec holster. It's got excellent retention with absolutely no movement of the gun, but with an easy draw. There it LOTS of attention to detail in this holster, with all edges rounded and polished. It's one of the few places I've found that gave an option for a tlr1s AND threaded barrel.

Did some detail work yesterday. Used khaki paint from a camo paint system on the lettering and S&W emblem on the slide. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

My brand new Shield I picked up today from my LSG that I ordered from G&R Tactical. Test fire date of 2-28-13. She is a beauty.
