The Evolution of My Shield

I got my Shield in March 2013. It has been constantly changing. First, I didn't like how thin the grip was, so I got some baseball bat padding and hockey stick tape and augmented the grip. Then a week later I didn't like how cheasy my DIY grip looked, so I removed it. I have always carried IWB and got a nice holster from CelticHolsters.com. I have always liked the VTAC M&P's and wanted the same features with my Shield. I completely dissasembled the Shield and Duracoated everything in Tactical Coyote Brown. I also replaced the sights with Hi-Viz fiber-optic sights meant for a full size M&P.

How do you do the color fill? I want to do it to my .40 shield. My full size is for work.

There are threads on this subject if you do a search. Simply put, use non-acetone nail polish removed to clean the area, then use enamal nail polish or a paint pen for fill in. Let it dry, then use the polish remover on a soft cloth (I used a tissue) and lightly remove excess. Rince and repeat as needed.

White crayon..or whatever color you want. Did it on my S&W 15-22 rifle.
It's easy and if you don't like it, it comes off without to much effort. A lot of folks did it on this rifle.

I just purchased a 380 bodyguard, and a flashbang holster. I absolutely love the feel of it. Product: BODYGUARD® 380 I don't need to shoot 700 rounds to know that it works when I aim it well. It's a very happy gun and I have enjoyed owning it so far! Probably the next purchase that I'm considering is a hot pink 9mm ruger. it's a little heavy for the bra holster... however it matches my outifts.
