Keep shooting it and you will soon have a fabulous action. My .40 has over 7000 rounds downrange and it keeps on getting better! Yours will too...

As I was told when I asked this question...Spend the money on ammo and shoot shoot shoot and it WILL get better and better. Seriously, much better.

I don't know about the action package but I just sent my .45 m&p to Burwell gunsmithing for their standard trigger job and am extremely pleased with the results.

Many M&P owners here in MA have sent it out for a trigger job and glad they spent the $75 +/-.

I found this in my research when I was selecting my pistol - turns out I went with a 4053 instead.

Considering the simplicity of the design of the M&P action, I always thought that the "action package" was kind of a money grab on the factories part.

Personally I would send it to Burwell or do it yourself with Burwells instructions. Yes, it is that easy.
