M&P Pro Qs

I've been looking for something to replace my CZ75B (I get bored easy) and was planning to get a Glock 34. Happened to be fiddling around with my son's M&P 15-22 and reflected on just how darn accurate and reliable that thing has been. Absolutely flawless. Got me thinking, I wonder if S&W (M&P) has something out there for plinking, target comp, & home defense in a large frame. Sure enough I see this awesome M&P Pro Series 5". I'll admit that I know nothing about these pistols, other than the three videos on YouTube. Anyone own the G34 and wouldn't mind sharing how this M&P compares? Any things to watch out for as far as trouble with the M&P Pro (ie- Glock Gen 4 issues)?

Had some Glocks (21 and 19) and sold them for some H&Ks a couple years ago. A month ago, I picked up a M&P VTac Edition and loved it. Bought a threaded barrel and this baby rocks. Found a couple more excellent deals on a M&P 9c and M&P Threaded in black. I carry the 9c everyday in my computer bag and the M&P Threaded lives in the truck console. I liked these so much that I found a M&P Pro with the long barrel. Shoots like a dream. The VTac has the apex upgrades with the new trigger. It is a nightstand gun. Just thinking out loud, but one could say that I am pleased. I have a M&P 22 that has been on order for a while.

I have the 5" Pro in 9mm. Simply a great gun. I have 2600 rounds down the barrel so far....works flawlessly. I did have a magazine get a bit gummed up, but once I cleaned it, it worked great.

I love the front fiber optic site. I changed hte rod out from green to red....easier for me to pick up.

I have had a Pro 9 5" for a little over a year and it has been flawless. Well worth the investment!!!
