Awesome! Thats great that they do that and thank you for serving for this country! :)

I thought that the Shield was excluded from the rebate??
I'm gonna send mine in and see.

I just read on there website that Shields isn't part the rebate. It could be there using third party for there rebate that can't read.

Going to send mind in, what am going to loose price of stamp.

Just got my veteran rebate for my M&P shield.

Thanks Smith and Wesson!!!

I hope you blacked out your SS number before sending. The last three times I blacked it out, with no problems

Just filled out the form, and going in the mail Monday 13, hope I have your luck.
Last rebate they also sent long with the check a beautiful coin, thanking us for our service. This is what the front looks like!

I think this rebate incentive is a great thing...it's a way of saying thank you for your service.

I also got that beautiful coin. My daughter is a manager at a poker room and she snatched it for a card marker.

Thanks for the tip. I bought one and didn't know about the rebate. Now I get $50. Sweet!

I thought the rebate said excludes shield and M&P 15-22. I bought my shield from buds for a good price and now am going to send in my rebate for an even better deal :)

While back I sent in my 15-22, and they sent me rebate.
I think it's a third party company that doesn't know the difference, all they do is process the paper work!

The program does say it excludes the M&P Shield:

It also says it is for active duty, retired, or disabled veterans. I am a veteran, and I spent two years after my four on active duty on the disability retired list, for a total of 6, and was then discharged with less than 30% disability, so I'm not classified as retired. I've never pursued disabled veteran status because it is my understanding that you have to have a 30% rating or higher.

SO...I don't qualify, and even if I did, I bought my Shield on April 15th. Double doo-doo...

If you were in the service active or retired you are eligible for the rebates. You must have some type of military ID.

Yes, I understand that. I'm US Army Retired. I just filled out the rebate info, however, it does say that the M&P Shield is excluded. I'll send it in anyway. Nothing to lose but a stamp and envelope.

When I sent mine in it didn't say that the shield was excluded. It must be a new policy.

S&W awarding it's vets. I like it. Wish the rest of the Guberment would!

Thank you ladies & gentlemen for stepping up for our great country. I truly appreciate it.

Sent out this morning, like you what do I have to loose, stamp and envelope.
Thank you for your service.

Got my $50 rebate check and challenge coin in the mail last Thursday. My rebate was for the purchase of a 9mm Shield. Thanks S&W.

It usually takes a couple of months to receive the rebate. The first half of the year Rebate Form didn't exclude the Shield (Naturally, it wasn't out yet when the rebate offer began). The rebate program for the second half of this year does exclude the Shield.

Which rebate form did you send in? It appears that you probably sent in the earlier rebate form which, if I remember correctly, expired on June 30, 2012.

@ cornchucker - You are correct Sir. Mailed in my form on 5/15/12 and the expiration date on the form was 6/30/12...
