So with the rebate period coming to an end, is the S&W going to release a new version? What do you think the "upgrades" will be? Pricing?

I really like my PC 9mm Shield. Almost bought a PC 45 with the rebate but thought I'd wait till 2018 and see what the offer.

With my luck; it'll be 2020 before they bring out a PC 45 Next Version 2.1 or whatever it is...

What's Up at S&W in the Shield series

I am thinking same as you, recently bought the PC Shield in 9mm and very much satisfied with it, so much so that the CS9 with 16 years of service has been placed in the storage bin, so now seriously considering getting the 45, but wondering if there will be some new version coming along soon, so waiting a bit to see if anything is in the works cooking with the folks at S&W.

I'm wondering too. We have a .40 Shield and a .40 M&P compact. Like them both. Thinking of adding another Shield in 9mm.

i got my shield 9mm with factory night sights for 260$ new. I can't complain... but the next one to come out i will snatch up as well.

Shot Show 2018 is just six months away so we shall see. The Shield line is a HUGE success for S&W so I'm guessing they'll have a few Shield related surprises up their sleeve for 2018.

How about a full-size PC M&P 2.0, 5" Match Grade Barrel, Factory Tritium/Fiber Optic Sights standard, chambered in 10MM, designed and built from the ground up to easily handle the hottest factory loads from Buffalo Bore and Underwood? Ok, so I'm a dreamer LOL

Sometimes I think too much thought goes into what if. I saw a good price with a rebate to boot, on a gun that so far, is excellent.
Will a better version show up later? Maybe.
