M&P Shield 9mm

Since I have only used 115gr ammo, I have to ask, is there a noticeable difference between the 115gr and 124gr or 147gr? I know that is probably a stupid question. But I have never shot anything but 115gr in any of my 9mm guns. Also, I have not used any defense ammo either. When I carry my 9mm, I just use the 115gr. Is this a huge mistake on my part? I just may have opened a can of worms here.

A good question. I've read a lot that you should shoot at least 124gr in the Shield to make it cycle right. I've only shot the 115 thus far, with no issues, but just got my defense ammo in. It's 147gr. Since I've had no issues, I'm not sure how I'll know a difference.

I normally shoot 115gr (usually S&B) and have not had any cycling problems. If I am shooting knock down steel, I will use 124 when I can get it.
