M&P Shield concelment holster?

A Remora or Sticky holster works IWB and you don't need a belt.

I've tried to carry before without a belt, wearing shorts or something like that, but I have that stomach disease called "Blotodagut", so even without a weapon I'm always hiking up my briches. It's probably a security thing as well for me, but the Remora does do the job well I am told.:o

If you are looking for high-end leather, the Ritchie Leather Co is now making holsters for the Shield. I personally love their Stakeout IWB holster. As of last Friday, they had a four week backlog.

Got a Galco sg652b OWB for mine since it was the only Shield holster in the shop. Waiting for an Old Faithful IWB and it fits OK in my Tuff pocket holster. The Shield prints a lot more than I thought it would, even with the short magazine. We'll see what it does when the IWB gets here.

I use a Blackhawk leather 'Compact Askins' for daily CCW of my SD9. Coupled with an 'instructor's belt' from Condor Tactical, it's perfect.

I've heard a lot of great things about PJ Holsters. Mine should be here shortly for my Shield. I think they are worth checking out. The horde of people I have talked to that recommended him got me to buy one.

UPDATE: My holster arrived in the mail yesterday. I gave it a try this morning and I love it. It adds barely any thickness to the gun. It's very lightweight, but it's still a good quality holster that's durable. It's molded to the gun and has a retention screw. The gun slides in really nice and has a positive secure feel once it's in. Compared to my DeSantis Nemesis I was using with my PM9 it practically disappears. It very unobtrusive and very comfortable and I love it.

I would suggest this holster to anyone.

I just picked up my 9mm Shield last week and ordered a Cross Breed Holster Mini Tuck from CrossBreedseconds. Paid 40.00 for a holster that I cannot tell the reason why its on their seconds store. It looks brand new and the shield is very comfortable in it.

I've tried my "box-o-holsters" and found that the Blackhawk! IWB size 7 is perfect for the Shield as-is. Now, after mounting a laser, of course, all that will change (that's the main reason I don't want to invest into a pricey leather holster right now). If firearm and accessories manufacturers would get together during the development of a new weapon, there might be better choices sooner (EG: Viridian laser/ light for the Shield... they told me they're "working on it").

Here are two options that we make for the Shield. Take a look at our website to see if we can help you.. .

I agree with Moonman...I for one will never understand why folks readily spend big bucks on a pistol, then whine about spending, say, $20.00 for a cleaning kit, or think $100.00 is too much for a custom made leather holster. That said, I've never been a fan of any of the plastic fantastic holsters on the market; they were fine when I was in the sandbox, since I really didn't care how much wear they inflicted on pistols that were not mine, but issued to me, but when it comes to my own personal weapons, I wish to minimize as much as possible, holster wear, which will happen with all handguns that are holstered; I just don't want to accelerate it. Soooooo, by way of China, here's my pick for your Shield...www.theholstersite.com

Milt Sparks Versa Max 2

I carry my Shield in a Versa Max 2 from Milt Sparks. They are pricey, but beautifully made. I have one for each pistol that I carry. They fit the pistol like a glove, and are the most comfortable IWB holster I have found.

Cell Pal

Hi! First time smith and wesson owner here with my shield en route from Florida. Here is the setup I use for my XDS 45 currently. I am not one to advocate for a holster but this one is seriously the most comfortable one I've ever had. It fits almost any size gun including 1911's so I don't have to buy custom fit holsters anymore. I live in Vegas so there are a lot of gun shows and this guy was selling this holster he makes, I tried it on and loved it from day one. I am a small guy, 5'8" 145 lbs so concealment is hard for me. I hate having to buy loose shirts to conceal my gun but I can carry my XDS wearin shorts and no shirt undetected with this one. It hangs low on your thigh and allows you to sit down without printing through your pants. This holster takes some getting used to as the draw is a bit awkward but once you get it down it's easy. This holster has a cellphone pouch attached which I stick my extra mag in. The brand is Cell-Pal. As mentioned in a previous comment. The N82Tactical IWB is superb for CC and keeps the gun completely separated from your body (no sweat on gun issues).
