OK, if your just looking to add iron sights one can be mounted to the rail on the block. If your wanting a free float handguard you'll have to swap the gas block for low profile type.

I have rhe sport 2 with the A2 site/block.

I was abke to install a magpul SL MLOK hand guard. It wraps around the A2 site and gas block. I guess you could say it mimics a mid length hand guard. It was a bit of a tricky/pain to click into place. But I really like it. And no need to buy and replace the A2 site and gas block.

I see. i am going for a different look with the hand-guard something with better venting. i also want to be able to put a fore grip attached to the hand-guard and as well as a flip down front sight. What special tools will i need to have?

The magpul handguard I mentioned above I believe would do all of those things. It will be able to attach anything that attaches with MLOK fittings.

Magpul makes several different hand grips for it lights lasers etc.

I put a UTG slimline pro carbine length on mine. It's aluminum, has full length pic rail on top, and m look on the other 3 sides. It's two piece that bolts together with four screws, it also has two set screws on bottom near delta ring to assure solid install. I really like it.

I like the way that one looks, did you have to replace the stock gas block on it or take it off at all? as pictured above on this forum.

DBrownn33. No, I didn't have to replace or change anything else. Strait off with the stock one and on with the UTG slimline. UTG has a flange where the two pieces overlap and then bolt together. I also added a Magpul angled fore end on mine. I'll post pic too.
The close up pic shows the two bolts that hold the two pieces together. There are two bolts on the opposite side also. And two set screws that are on the bottom side. Very solid.
