M&P15PC camo varmint AR sling

Greetings all,

As the thread title states, I have a M&P15PC HD max-1 varmint AR, which is an awesome gun.

Anyway, this model has the A2 stock with the oval sling attachment while the front has the standard swivel (Mike's) up front on the free floating hand guard.

Can any of you suggest a "tactical" style sling that will attach to the rifle seamlessly. I have looked online, but have not found one that seems to be able to use the two different style attachments.

Is the front free float tube round, with round holes in it for mounting?
If so, put a QD/ oval sling mount on there. If that is too hard to find, then add a short rail piece from Magpul; they are like 1.5" long, and bolt right in. Then, use a front sling mount that attaches to a rail system.

My hand guard is a single solid piece without slots. The only spot for attachment is the swivel sling stud. I have contemplated drilling and tapping the solid hand guard for various accessories. Perhaps some of you have some other suggestions. I am not opposed to modification of hand guard.

You could always replace the handgaurd with one that will allow for attachments and not drill up your factory piece.
