M&P40 FS Optics Ready Slide

Anyone know where I can order a M&P40 FS Optics Ready Slide?

Looking to upgrade my old M&P40 FS to a optics ready and threaded barrel if it will all work.

The M&P 40 PC C.O.R.E. 1.0 has an optics ready slide (which I believe was available in both barrel lengths?)...

Once upon a time, you could get 4.25" and 5" CORE slide kits in both 9mm and .40cal. I got a 5" ported one in 9mm for my 4.25" fullsize.

Oddly, they also came in "Magazine Safety" and "No Magazine Safety" model which only meant it had the warning about firing with the magazine removed or not.

They've been discontinued but you may still find one.

As I posted earlier, discontinued and OOS in the few other places I looked.

I've been using cheap $20 UTG dovetail plates on my M&P 40 1.0 and 45 2.0 without any issues. FWIW, when I looked into either replacing a slide or having the one I already had cut for an optic it is generally cheaper to have the thing cut.

I have no idea of how much someone would charge to move the various pieces to a new slide since it's something I would do myself, but it would be another thing you might need to think about if you go the replacement route.

It appears to me that would be over $200 plus shipping with the cut refinished. You can buy a new FS CORE for $550. Would you be better off to sell the one you have and buy new?

Look on gunbroker under pistol parts. I picked up a 5" ported slide and barrel with the metal optics plates also three magazines.

I just looked and just like ebay... EVERY single auction is for a SHEILD and not FS

No I really dont care to sell it and honestly because of the rebate I have bought 2 new optics ready M&Ps in the past 2 weeks and I have optics ready FNX45 so its just a personal want to have my pistol collection all be optics ready with optics... so yea the investment of getting it refinished IT I CANT find a new FS slide is worth it..
