M&P9 Shield EZ slide stop button too short

Sounds crazy, but I have a crooked thumb. I call it "electricians screwdriver thumb". Too many years twisting the screwdrivers has caused my thumb to bend away from the pistol at the knuckle. When I pull the slide back and want to lock it open, the tip of my thumb can't reach it. Does anyone make an aftermarket slide stop that extends toward the rear of the pistol? If it were about 3/8" longer, my knuckle would hit it perfectly. Now I have to twist my hand around the handle to be able to push the button upward which causes me to have less control of the pistol.
