M&P9 with Apex Sear

So I sold my G26 and got a phenomenal deal on this new M&P9. I really like the way it feels. The grip angle is awesome.

Here she is:

I also ordered and installed an Apex sear. In the picture the stock M&P sear is on the top, and the Apex is on the bottom. The Apex sear is night and day to the stock sear. A must and great upgrade to any M&P owner.

I just recently sold my Glocks (a 29 and 19) in order to purchase an M&P9C and a soon to arrive M&P9... Based on all I'd read I went with the full Duty/Carry Enhancement Kit from Apex for the 9C and... wow... the trigger pull is so smooth now! A great upgrade for sure... My stepdad has a 9C he's carried and shot for 5 or 6 years and his trigger is no longer crunchy but nowhere near as smooth. Great stuff! My forthcoming M&P9 already has Apex parts and Ameriglo/Bowie Tactical sights (another must do IMO) waiting...


I do wish the reset was a bit more pronounced with the upgraded sear - on Glocks you hear and feel it - but I'm sure I'll get better at detecting it with more trigger time. Any reason to shoot more is a good one!

Congrats on yor m&p9 purchases, I too bought the m&p9 and put the Apex sear and striker block in and it's a totally different gun, I just got back my 2 free mags that was offered at time of purchase, Figured the mags were a better deal than the $50 rebate. And they are S&W mags not after market.

thanks all. I too wish the reset on the M&P was as pronounce as it is on the Glock. That was one of the thing I liked on my Glock. However, I love the curve trigger set up on the M&P. The Glock's trigger ergonomics wasn't doing it for me, but I had learned to live with it.

It has been a while since I took out the M&P9. So the other day, I took it on a range outing. Prior to the outing, I had done the trigger modification by bending the bar that made contact with the sear. The reset was more pronounced, and I liked it way better.

So here she is:

And this is how she did at 7 yards. 50-rounds of Winchester FMJ. I had a few fliers here and there, since it was due to switching between the M&P9 and my 1911:
