The M&P 9C

I have one.

Here is what I think:
1) It's got great ergos due to its 3 different size backstraps that you can interchange to fit your hand.
2) For distances that it is intended for (short 5 to 10 yards), it works fine. Besides, I don't look at it as a target pistol. I already got pistols for that role (my 625JM, my 8" barrel model 17-5 and my 6" barrel 617).
3) The trigger out of the box is not that great. However, it smoothens up the more you shoot it. Also, if you want a better trigger for it, then you'll have to contact Apex Tactical about their trigger kit. I am planning to keep mine as it is and let it smoothen up naturally with more range sessions. Like I said, I don't intend to use my M&P9C as a target pistol.
4) Its size is between a Glock 19 and a Glock 26, which to me makes it ideal. I sold my Glock 19 after I purchased my M&P9C. Although I shot the Glock better, I love the ergos of the M&P9C better and I feel that with more practice, I can shoot it as well.

This was to be my next purchase but now that I have seen the video of the "Shield" that's what I am going after. The 9c is a nice gun though and I believe you would be plenty happy with it.

I just added an M&P9c to the collection last night. After picked up an M&P9 4.25" Pro it turned me into an M&P fan. I've added an M&P45 and now the 9c. I opted for the 9c for 2 primary reasons, one is that the way I carry going the Shield route is more of a sacrifice than a gain and more importantly all my M&P9 mags will work with the M&P9c so I only have to buy full-size 9mm mags and I have them to use with the 9c at the range.
