M15-3 one shot at 18 yards .38 SPL 158 Speer swaged LSWCHP at non +P loading.

Yes, I admit surprise, not at making the shot because I practice out to 40 yards, but at how well the non +P load performed.

They all laugh at me when I have a 2 or 4 inch 38 on my waist. I always have carried for protection and will always believe in it. Great Hunting.

Ran about 15 yards and piled up pretty fast.

I'm pretty sure the shot would not have worked without the little pin in the barrel.

You are correct. it is well established that you need a pin like that when using mousey loads like .38 Special. You can't actually hurt much with a .38 unless it's somehow tricked out with a pin. I'm afraid that all of us marching around with .38 Specials in our pockets need to rethink the caliber, we can't possibly defend ourselves with those guns....and the pig LIVES! You just don't know it!
