I haven't fired mine in quite a few years, and I am thinking about posting it for sale on Texas Gun Traders sometime this month. Mine is in pretty good shape, about 50% bluing left, and wood is also pretty good except fror some gouges on one side of the butt that could be filled in easily. Bore is nice and shiny. I can't find any recent GunBroker sales, have seen some auction prices at around $700-900. These were made by Steyr in Austria, much like the Mauser 71/84 design. Also have around 50 rounds of Portuguese military ammo. All of the rifles are pre-1899. Any old military rife collectors out there willing to take a guess at what approximate price I should list it for?

I was actually reloading for awhile. Drilled out the Berdan primer, used 209 shotshell primers and Pyrodex. 8mm Mauser bullets worked fine, diameter is nearly the same.
