Which wooden box is correct for a M27-2 # N 327579, no XXX's, circa 1976? This is one of the 6"ers with 3 "T"s. Thanks, Big Larry:):):):):)

This is the style of presentation case you are looking for. It was shipped with a 44 Magnum in September 1976. Your case with have a bottom liner for a 6-inch barrel and Patridge (not ramp) front sight.

It's a reference to those who put XXX's instead of serial numbers. I have nothing to hide. My guns are duly bought and paid for, and are registered if need be. I do not suffer from paranoia either. No, I won't post my SS number, but no one is going to scam me or find out anything about me with a whole serial number.
Bill, thank you very much for the picture of the box. Now I know what to look for. I bought the gun cheap enough so I can still buy a box and be $$$$ ahead. Many thanks, Big Larry:):):)

Thanks Larry - I saw your complete serial number, I think that's why
I've been confused about the secret code triple X's.
