Bring back the M27 or 28 preferably in the 8 round cylinder configuration w/ a 3.5" or a 5" barrel, AO tritium Big Dot front sight, appropriate rear sight. No lock.
Don't recess the cylinder. Make it long enough to load 180 grain LSWC bullets in .357 Magnum cases with plenty of powder capacity.
3.5" would be a heck of a carry gun.
5" would be perfect for field use.
