M620 cast bullet loads (pics)

I loaded up some light cast bullet loads for steel plate practice (don't have to make power factor) and also for my wife to shoot. The bullets are Lee's 105gr SWC and their 125gr RN (non tumble lube design) loaded with W231. The targets were shot at 7 yards (the distance we shoot plates) from a bench, five shots. I'm pretty tickled.

I'm really getting a kick out of the 620. This is my first Smith in around 40 years. I owned a M19 back then and it had a beautiful blue job but I had trouble shooting it due to the grips. I did own a Ruger SP101 2 1/4" for awhile but it wasn't fun to shoot as it just didn't fit my hands well even with an after market grips. It seems like I have trouble with any revolver, single or double action due to my middle finger hitting the trigger guard so the more modern grips that fill in behind the trigger guard, especially rubber, are a real blessing to my aging hands.

Now it's time to load up a bunch of 105's and practice drawing at the beep and downing five 6 inch plates at 7 yards before the guy next to me does. I do pretty well at our shoots with my STI 9mm Trojan or 45 D.W. CBOB and hope to gain enough skill with the 620 that I don't embarrass myself.
