M649-2 single action problem

Can buy a m649-2 that the single action won't catch , is this a big deal or major problem? What would a repair like this cost?

sounds like the hammer needs to be replaced. Not difficult to do, but best left to a gunsmith if you're unsure.

Probably nothing - S&W provides a lifetime warranty on the more recent guns. Try contacting your nearest service center. I had a similar problem last year, and they even paid the shipping both ways.
