M686 back from the Dr.

After the checkup, S&W did a little work on the barrel and
replaced the old Cylinder, to put it back into service.

It was kicking back copper slivers, that drew blood on my left cheek.
No major damage but a heck of a wakeup call when a shooter
at the range comes up and says.......
Hay, your Bleeding !!

Remember your eye's and ear's at all times.

Not worried about any difference in load fps but I do have to go
through the trouble of finding out if I have a chamber that is more
accurate than the others, again, for when I go into the field after ........
Wabbits.

Wondering how it turned out when you got it back? I have a 629 at the mother ship for the past few weeks and hoping it comes back corrected. I read about lots of horror stories that folks send back guns that come back no better.....

I’m curious and optimistic that yours (and mine) come back better!

I sent my 686-6 7 shot back to the factory for "failure to carry up" last year. The cylinder did not move all the way until the cylinder stop clicked into place, for two charge holes, during either fast or slow trigger pulls.

The answer was a new hand and a little fitting to the gun, which they did for free, and which has worked perfectly since then.

Complaints? None! They did a great job.
