M69 Grips

Hogue grips sold exclusively by S&W for the 500S&W. Check their web store.

My go to grips on all K, L, N Frame S&W Round Butt guns.

First used them on S&W 329 (26 oz .44 Mag).

Have them on all my M69s. Was out shooting my 2 3/4" M69 today. 23.0gr H110, 265gr SWGC from the bench (more recoil than off hand) -- 44 rounds and wish I had more ammo.

With that said, everyone's hands are different, so they may not work for you. Fore example, I've tried all current K,L,N pachmayr grips and none work for me. And all wood grips hammer the bone at the base of my thumb.

FWIW,

Paul

I've become real fond of the Pachmayr Diamond Pro grips for range duty. Plenty of cushion, especially on the backstrap, but not too big.

Another vote for the Pachmayr Diamond Pros. I put them on my 3" 629 and they dramatically reduced the felt recoil when shooting .44 magnums.

S&W 500 X Frame Hogues. .44 Special level load (deep seated in .44 mag brass) hits same POI at 25 yds as 260gr WFNGC w/23.0gr H110.

Tried the Diamond Pros and they were a Lot better than the stock grips.
Currently have a set of the X grips on it now.
Much better for range use but they are big,and I am not a fan of the finger grooves.
Will probably put the Diamonds back on for field use.
