MA Shield 9 or .40

Thats the beauty of choice we have here...what works for you may not work for me and vice versa. I'd love to get a 9c but it mirrors my G26 too much so hard to pull the trigger on it as the saying goes.

IMHO the Springfield xDs is gonna take out a huge chunk of the Shield sales when it comes out in 9. I have the .45 version and you can just feel the quality built into it. It will probably sell for 100-150 more than the Shield though. So at a pricepoint of 399 the Shield is a great buy (for me) Spending over 600 on one is a diff story but not me to judge on what people like and don't like. I'm all for the freedom to choose

IMHO...I think the Shield was a lot of hype. I had one of the first MA ones and sold it a few months after. I didn't really care for the narrow grip, or the limited capacity, but that's just me. If were to do it again, I probably would have picked up the the 9c.

Funny u say that that's exactly what I did we'll I traded my 9shield for a 9c then 2 weeks later got the shield 40 . I am one of the safety lovers and while I carry with safety off I like having one for holstering and handeling so that's why I got the shield again

Isn't that always the way? Been waiting, waiting, waiting forever and then say screw it I'm not waiting anymore......make a purchase and a day later what you've been waiting for is now available...I bought my 9 Shield at MSRP at SL Gunshop in Mason NH and then a week later Shooters Outpost about 20 minutes from my house gets hundreds of them in at 399....lesson learned...in Shooters I trust. Best buying power in Southern NH

Lol...it never fails. I'm happy with my choice. I don't think I paid nearly as much as others have for the .40c and I do like the way it fits my hand over the Shield. Also as previously mentioned, I like its versatility.

Yeah, I liked the safety option on the Shield, that was definitely a solid plus. How do you like the Shield 40? I just sold my FS 40 and picked up a 45c. Yeah, I know I said I didn't like the capacity of the Shield, but I feel a lot more confident with 8 230 gr .45s over 8 124 gr 9's. Maybe it's just me! ha

Besides, we're in craptastic MA and we can't get hi caps for our M&P's.

Sold my 40 shield, hated it, got a 9c. Too long to pocket carry, and not enough rounds. May as well carry a revolver, or my XDS. it has more power and is the same size, minus 1 round with standard mag. 8 with the extended. The 9c, is a "real gun" you can still pocket carry it if you pocket carried the shield, neither one are really small enough.Throw a remora on the M&P and you can IWB it all day

Well I love my 40 Shield, and as for "not enough rounds" - this is my self defense gun on the extremely remote chance that I'll ever need to pull it. If I can't drop the perp with 8 rounds, I've got no business carrying the thing. My zombie guns stay at home.

Well if u ask me the 40 is the way to go as far as shields go the recoil is the same as the shield 9 yeah I agree 7 rounds of 40 is a lil shy of what I like however I'd rather have 7 rounds of 40 on me than 10 rounds of 45 sitting at home in the safe .. It carries nice and that what it is to me a carry gun not a range gun. Every time I go shooting I shoot 50 rounds out of the shield then my 7 carry rounds then I shoot my ( fun to shoot guns) if u ask me it's great at what I want it to do if ur buying it to shoot it its not worth it buy a c or full leave the shield for defense...
