I have a S&W 696 .44 spl and am looking into having the cylinder machined for moon clips. Just wanted to know what companies anyone has used to have this done.
I'm currently thinking of using TK Custom in Illinois to do the work. Has anyone used their service?
Also, TK looks to be the only one that can supply a 5-shot .44 moon clip. 10 Ring Precision in Texas also advertises moon clip conversions, but I believe they supply their customers with TK moon clips.
Any information is appreciated, thanks.

I've dealt with TK CUSTOM a couple of times and they're top notch people to deal with.
Their work is excellet and I would trust them to work on any handgun that I have.

I sent a model 60 cylinder to TK Custom to be cut for moon clips on a Friday. It was returned to me the next Wednesday - a five day turnaround! The machine work was excellent and I will be sending another cylinder to them.

Highly recommend them.

I'm gonna suggest a 625 made for 45 ACP or a 9mm whatever, don't know the model number. Once the 44 Spl. cylinder is machined, it can't be unmachined.

I would buy a 396 cylinder to have cut and leave the original 696 cylinder as is simply because stock 696 are hard to find. I am not against moon clips at all. Numerich currently has some Titanium once in stock for $112

I have a 696, a 296 and a 396, but I carry a 325. 6 shots, made for moon clips and with a TI cylinder it is lighter than my 696 and the cylinder is only .15 larger in diameter. That is just a hair over 1/8"

PS Itt is not hard to machine a cylinder for moon clips, I have done several 45 colt cylinders so they fire both acp and colts and made 3 38 specials cylinders to 9mm. If you use rimmed cases in a cylinder cut for moon clips the rim will sit on the material left on outer edge and head space. Ejection of rimmed cases without clips work fine also
