magazine insertion causing bolt to release

hey everyone my rifle did this a couple of times at the range today. with the bolt locked back, i would insert a new mag and slap it at the bottom and it would cause the bolt to release and then chamber a round without me ever touching the bolt release button. has this happened to anyone else? could it be a problem with my bolt spring?

Not uncommon at all. There's nothing wrong with the rifle. Inserting the magazine takes the tension off the bolt release. Hitting the bottom of the magazine causes it to vibrate off.

Quit slapping the bottom of the magazine.

Yep, it happens with my 15-22 and my Glock 22. If you seat the mag with authority, it will sometimes release the bolt/slide.
